At a Glance

Bass-baritone Jason Zacher has garnered national acclaim as a versatile and promising emerging talent in opera, concert, and musical theatre. To date, Mr. Zacher has graced the stages of prestigious venues including Carnegie Hall, The Atlanta Opera, The Glimmerglass Festival, Kentucky Opera, Des Moines Metro Opera, Ars Lyrica Houston, and Paper Mill Playhouse, among others. Notably, he was recently awarded Second Prize in The Lotte Lenya Competition (2024) and named an NY District Winner of the Metropolitan Opera Laffont Competition (2023).

For the 2024-25 season, Mr. Zacher's engagements include a return to The Glimmerglass Festival, where he will perform the role of Uncle/Witness 9 in Elizabeth Cree, cover the roles of Pirate King and Sergeant of Police in The Pirates of Penzance, and workshop the roles of Bum Man and Preacher Man in the first reading of The House on Mango Street (Bermel/Cisneros). He will then return to The Atlanta Opera for his second year as a member of their esteemed Studio Artist Program, where he will appear in their productions of La bohème, The Magic Flute, and Macbeth.
